I work in landscaping, have owned and operated since 2011. From maintenance to Construction I have overseen many projects to fruition. But I don't always have time to meet requirements, I don't always have the available personnel. A contractor friend of mine introduced me to Eden and ever since then, I don't have issues filling short-term requirements that I can't meet and all of my customers are much more satisfied since they are able to get their work done without having to adhere to my busy schedule. I used to lose jobs and customers because of time restraints but with Eden, I am able to maintain my relationships by having an extra option to meet time requirements. Whether you are a homeowner or a contractor, this is a great way to get the job done both sooner and better. Highly recommend, especially for homeowners looking for efficiency and quality.

Snow removal FAQs in New Market, Ontario

Sometimes a total of 15-20cm of snow falls every day during the winter season. Always prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating conditions. Since visibility reduces at times during heavy snowfall, drive slowly.

New Market uses 100% salt called Thawrox during the winter season. Treated salt helps reduce application rates allowing city services to cover more areas. It’s mixed with sand to provide traction on the ground.

The town salts first to control winter road conditions. Besides, this prevents ice and snow from bonding to the road surface. The city deploys plows for snowfalls over 6cm to keep the major roads to bare pavement.

Don’t pour snow back into the roads when you remove it. Instruct your children not to play on snowbanks or the streets. Remove snow from basins and sewers to hinder flooding when the snow thaws.
Put your blue box and garbage bags on cleared paths, don’t put them on snowbanks. Use this guide to assist you if you don’t know how to remove or shovel snow off your property.

The town tries to remove snow from all sidewalks over 122cm. The city also maintains those below 122cm because they are priority paths that lead to hospitals, schools, and businesses. However, residents are obliged to clear snow from sidewalks bordering their property to prevent slip and falls. Sometimes snow removal is a cumbersome process. If you are unable to either by constraints or old age, consider hiring a snow removal specialist to help you.
